[CAPTION: When Youtube figured out…that I was an otaku.]
I wonder if youtube has finally clued on to my habits…or if it was just a special thing to tack onto vocaloid videos. Shrug. Anyways I don’t actually own any figurines because I spend all of my money on buttons when I go to conventions (which I then proceed to lose immediately). Sometimes I make wisty eyes at the mario merchandise in the lineup at the games store though….sigh.
those eyes are looking down at me
Anyways that’s one thing off of the to-do list today
That only took—TWO HOURS SHIT well okay that’s still pretty good
ok now is time for bed I believe
I’m gonna use numbers to define concepts now I figure it’s much neater
Practicing sketching. It’d be cool if I found a way to fart out art fast : D
hey look I made a sketch and then I drew over it until I had pencils and the pencils looked okay! yes! beautiful! :DDDDDD
Look at this I am almost a proper artist I’m gonna go finish this
bad boy lady student person I guess!
To be honest, I really abused SAI for this one.I believe I am up to 13 layers already? I’ll never be able to draw on paper again XDDD
sloppy sketch of Qwerty the Wizard. Yaaaaay
Well jeez I’d better pace myself this is probably going to be the bulk of what I am drawing all month .—-.
I was on the computer
And I was looking at this thing I just drew
and I thought:
“This is only half totally awful”
Still learning the ropes. Still not satisfied @_@
/second full-coloured finished thing I’ve produced with the new tablet
By the way that “Trainshipbus” tag….*shruuuggggg*
[image description: Pencil sketch of a femme with long curly black hair worn in a ponytail and bound breasts. They’re shown from the side, looking forward, holding a gun, a little antsy with their fingers held atypically. They’re are wearing a button-up jacket with short sleeves, suspenders, a top hat, glasses, a bowtie, and basic trousers.]
With this sketch, I messed around with some GIMP functions. I think I might be getting the hang of this?
I might give her pronouns other than ‘her’ because it’s starting to seem wrong o_o
Also: Suspenders :O
Accessibility request: Can someone help me describe that circular symbol in a better way? ;__;
[Image Description: Watercolour and Pen slash Ink picture of a white guy juxapositioned with a circle broken up by short lines, and there’s some random crap around him too. The guy is floating in a stylized manner, upright, legs apart, arms controlled, his left arm down and making a fist, his right arm out with his palm up. Circling his eye is the same circle that he’s juxtaposed with. He’s falling with the following objects - a red witch’s hat, a blue headband with antennae, and two insect-like wings just below him, separated and broken. The guy is somewhere between skinny and muscular, with an average sort of build. In this picture he’s pale. His eyes are illustrated as blue with a blob of red, his face is in profile. His hair is a dark brown and straight, and is of a medium length, and it’s blown upwards because he’s falling stylistically. He’s wearing a blue coat with really big floppy lapels overtop of a brown vestish thing, and blue trousers to match his blue coat. And brown shoes.]
It’s been forever since I broke out the watercolours. I wasn’t that great with them in the first place XD
Also, guess who might have messed around with the colours by playing with GIMP’s value/contrast tool? It might have been me .__.
[Image Description: pencil sketch of a superhero girl with wings, floating slightly in the air, looking at the viewer from the side with arched eyebrows. The girl is tall, thin, light skinned, and asian. She’s a teenager or a young adult. Her black and straight hair is in a layered cut that is a little longer than shoulder length. Her wings are thick, black on the outside and white on the inside. She’s wearing long black gloves that go up the length of her arm, a tank top with the back cut out of it with another backless layer underneath, black leggings, and light long boots.]
Oh hey I forgot sometimes I draw things .___.
I’ve been trying to figure out how to draw wings with reference, I guess it is the mark of an amateur anime artist who lives nowhere near Japan that I sometimes think that reference is an option. Right now Sarah has osprey wings, I like the look of them and I think I can twist it in a symbolically sense-making way! (Ospreys hunt fish, which are in the sea, which seems to symbolically reflect the unknown and unconscious…hmmm…) If I had the ability to not give a shit I’d probably give her pigeon wings because I like pigeons. However, I don’t think they’d make the best superheroes, considering that they seem to be defined by the fact that they shit on things? Which Sarah certainly does not do. Hey, society, if you’re gonna be hating on a bird, hate on seagulls. EVERY PICNIC HAS BEEN RUINED, GUYS.
This one is my favorite for today <3
It’s been a while since I’ve posted a drawing! This is just a brush doodle. I wanted to doodle with a brush and this is what came out XD
I’ve gotten like 10 followers since then…will I lose all you guys now?
[Image Description: A fanart pencil sketch depicting Luka, a lightskinned anime vocaloid character. Here, there is little colour except for pink/red hair, boots, and eyes. Luka is shown here as tall, with long pink hair. She is wearing a headset with a loopy pattern along it’s headband, a big complicated loopy gold-metal brooch thing pinned in the center of a sleeveless top, a long skirt with a slit on one side to reveal her legs, which are covered in black tights and knee-high lace-up light-value boots. She also has a black arm-bracelet thing way up on her arm, which is attached by gold cord to these loose glove ish wristwarmer things. Needless to say, it is all pretty complicated and stylish.]
Luka sketch…I used reference this time!
I’m experimenting with using photoshop colours on pencil sketches.
This is the first fanart that I made and I actually liked enough to post! Making fanart isn’t a thing that comes naturally to me, I like making up original stories better XD
